When commissioning me the following information is very helpful:
Quantity - how many illustrations/designs are needed?
Layout/Brief -do you have any layouts or visuals to use as a guide? If not, then please provide a clear and concise typed brief describing your requirements.
Deadlines - What are your deadlines for the sketches and then for the final approved design? (Remember to allow time for development, amendments etc)
Usage - What will the illustration be used for?
eg greetings cards, publishing, editorial, gift warp, packaging?
Term - How long will you require to licence the illustration? (1 month, 1 year, etc.)
Territory - Where is the illustration going to be used?
eg UK only, North America, Europe or Worldwide etc.
More Info - Are there any additional considerations?
eg images,character families to be developed?
