February 2008 > Balloons, packaging and cards!

Emily is working on packaging and labels for wedding products for a new customer, and starting to develop designs for foil balloons.

January 2008 > Happy New Year!

The new year saw Emily working hard on new card ranges for both Twizler and Pink Pendulum, and working with a new customer Wood Like to Play on some children's wooden toys.

December 2007 > Happy Christmas!

This month Emily was commissioned to work on 2 new children's books for a publishers she hasn't worked with before and it is going very well.

November 2007 > Christmas cards & decorations.

News on the Think Pink Toadstool fairy is that it is selling very well - we are over the moon! Please look to our 'products' section of the portfolio for images of the products. Emily also worked on more Christmas decorations for Triflora Ltd which will be in shops Christmas 2008!

October 2007 > Children's book, logo and cards...

In October Emily completed a fun and quirky logo using bird sketches for Nicola Baxter publishing, and worked on a new children's book about a submarine trip for Blue Elephant Books - plus a few more greetings cards for 3 existing customers.

September 2007 > Christmas decorations, baby books, birthday cards and wooden toys!

This month Emily worked on a huge variety of projects including baby's books for Top That publishing and Emma Treehouse publishing, cards for Twizler and Noel Tatt and christmas decorations for Triflora Ltd - another new customer for Magic Pencil.

August 2007 > Wooden toys, jewellery, cards and a brochure!

August saw Emily develop designs for 2 wooden puzzle toys for Big Jigs - a new customer for Magic Pencil, and an exciting new area to work in. The puppy love pendant design for Danbury Mint also went ahead and looks great - look for the photo in 'Products' section of the portfolio. Emily worked on illustrations for a nursery rhyme book for Ladybird books, and a lovely thank you teacher card for Gibson Hanson.

July 2007 > Greetings cards, toys and a product launch!

An extremely busy month for Emily, with lots to do after returning from honeymoon! Emily attended many meetings at the beginning of the month, meeting many interested potential new customers - in many new areas, including wooden toys and kites!

Emily also visited a trade fair where several stands featured her own work which was very exciting, including the long awaited fairy range for Think Pink, called Toad Stool Fairy! It looked great, and has been used on a huge range of items from handbags and notepads to umbrellas, we are sure it will be a great seller for Think Pink. This will be shown in the portfolio section under products very soon!

Emily has also been working on another illustration for Ladybird Books, samples for a baby journal for a very well known publisher, a new catalogue and ideas for new ranges for Twizler. Emily has also already started working for a new customer she met earlier this month, for children's toys. Emily has also been working on an new exciting logo for a' Nicola Baxter' a children's book publishers.

June 2007 > Jewellery, children's book and a wedding!

Emily has continued developing the character pendant design, and designed a new identity and promotional items range for a local business. Emily also did some more work for a soon to be launched toy company which she created logo ideas for a short while ago. Emily also worked on an illustration for a children's book for Ladybird books - a new customer for Magic Pencil.

Emily also got married at the end of the month to her now husband Paul, it was a wonderful day and they are now back from honeymoon. Emily will now be able to work uninterrupted by all the wedding planning of recent months!

May 2007 > Jewellery design and a new card range

A new type of customer for Magic Pencil this month, jewellery design! Emily was contacted by a well known company to produce a character design for a gold pendant. Emily also created 6 new children's birthday cards for Twizler, following the success of the earlier ranges Emily has worked on.

April 2007 > Easter cards, social stationery and a new fairy!

This month Emily created some new Easter designs for Medici, following a range of children's cards she worked on only a couple of months ago. Eleven new social stationery designs for Twizler were completed, and 2 more birthday cards for Gibson Hanson. The new fairy for Think Pink was also finalised, and is now ready to go to the next stage in production.

March 2007 > Greetings cards, posters and a logo

Emily created a logo for a new toy company soon to be launched, continued working on cards for Twizler and created promotional posters for a local fitness instructor.

February 2007 > Social Stationery and Gift ware

Development of a new fairy character for Think Pink has continued, and is looking great - it will be used on a wide range of gift ware items when produced later in the year. New designs for baby announcement cards for Twizler were designed, to accompany a new large range of social stationery for Twizler coming soon from Emily. She also continued working on the range of children's cards for International Greetings.

January 2007 > Greetings cards !! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

Emily is continuing to work on the range of cards for International Greetings, and has just completed the range of wizard cards for Twizler. A new customer for Magic Pencil is Think Pink - who have asked Emily to work on a new character for them. Emily has also been working on promotional designs for a fitness instructor. There was also more work from Harcourt the publishers, and 12 new Christmas designs for Twizler. Emily also created a girl's birthday card for Gibson Hanson - soon to be followed by more designs in the range.

December 2006 > Greetings cards, book illustrations

A new range of wizard cards for Twizler was started, eight designs in total. More work for Harcourt publishers for children's educational books. An exciting new range based on kid's dressing up as monsters was commissioned by International Greetings - twelve designs in total.

November 2006 > Greetings cards, educational wall chart, book illustrations

A range of seven cards and a party invitation with a fairy theme was created for Twizler, to have diamante attachments. A sea life theme wall chart for EQD was designed and illustrated. Six new designs for Jodds were produced. More illustrations for Harcourt publishers too.

October 2006 > Greetings cards, book cover, educational wall chart

Work for EQD on an educational space theme wall chart was one piece Emily worked on this month. An Easter colouring book for Autumn Publishing was one of Emily's largest briefs to date with around 36 pages to complete! An aero plane birthday card for American Greetings was created to match some earlier designs Emily had worked on. A fitness instructor requested a logo and business card design. A new customer Pink Pendulum commissioned two civil partnership cards featuring cute bears. More illustrations for Harcourt book publishers to be used in children's text books. A sample book cover for Random House publishers was also short listed for Katie Price's new children's pony books.

September 2006 > Greetings cards

This month Emily has started working on a range of greetings cards for another new customer Twizler, and is working on the final stages of the range for Medici. Emily also worked on two designs for civil partnership cards for Simon Elvin. She also created several illustrations to be used in children's educational books for Harcourt.

August 2006 > Book illustrations, packaging and greetings cards

During August Emily worked on more wrap designs for International Greetings, and packaging for EQD's new products. She also illustrated a front cover for a book with Autumn Publishing, two wraps for Stewo in Switzerland, a set of illustrations for a book in America, and another card for Carlton Cards. Also Emily has been working on completing a range of children's cards for Medici - a new customer for Magic Pencil.

July 2006 > Children's toys, logos, greetings cards and gift wrap

Another very busy month, having commenced briefs with a new client in the educational toy market - Emily developed a new logo for the company - and worked on new products in their range. Including charts to teach the weather, and the alphabet to children. A logo was also developed for personal trainer APEX Training, including a whole range of promotional items such as: business cards, post cards, brochure covers, poster and price lists. Several different gift wraps were created for International Greetings for children's ranges. Two cards for American Greetings, and characters and gift wrap for new customer Carlton Cards.

June 2006 > Children's books and greetings cards

This month Emily is in discussions with a new client regarding children's books and toys, and is continuing to work more with Jellycat on a new book concept. A new range of characters for Hallmark cards Plc is also nearing completion with plans of developing them into a range of greetings cards. Emily is also working on concepts for another new customer, of juvenile characters intended to be used on a range of children's greetings cards.

May 2006 > Children's books, greetings cards and gift-wrap

Spring must really be here, as this has been a very busy month with final artwork for a baby book for Jellycat, ideas for another book for the same company, a greetings card and gift-wrap design for Next, Christmas and juvenile character ranges for Hallmark cards Plc, and logos with local graphic design studio Hightide Productions. Emily also worked on another eflyer for Lloyds British Testing to advertise its training services.

March and April 2006 > Logo designs and greetings cards

Two new ranges were developed for Tigerprint - to be used in Marks and Spencer stores, and logo designs with local graphic design studio Hightide Productions. In addition, Emily worked on a number of designs for greetings card publishers Gibson Hanson.

February 2006 > Success at the Spring Fair NEC Birmingham

Magic Pencil has had great success at the NEC's Spring Fair, gaining several new clients. Up and coming projects include a range of ceramic mugs featuring our characters, fabric baby books, gift wrap to be sold at high street stores and greetings cards.

New product launch for HeartWarmers Ltd

In 2005 Emily worked on a range of new products and logo for HeartWarmers Ltd (see client comments) which has just been launched (Feb 06). This range includes fridge magnets, wooden plaques and candle holders.
